When my husband told me he had commissioned Courtney Davis to paint me a picture for my 50th birthday I was so excited, I was familiar with his wonderful celtic art work before. He had given him a list of my favourite places, things and colours, Courtney did the rest. In the painting the use of vivid colour and texture is amazing he seems to have overlapped the images cleverly and with imagination.You have to look deep into it to appreciate the skill he has, every time I look at it I see something new. It seems to come alive, the cat leaps out of the star background like a 3D effect, when viewed through a magnifying glass, with swirling celtic knots and mythical animals it is truly remarkable. It is a wonderful thing to own a real treasure, created just for me, I will always treasure it.
